Dibs helps you organize the travel benefits you already have. This page describes the current early-access website.
What we store
- The names of cards you select, benefit usage, confirmed balances, enrollment choices and benefit dates. We also store dated captured value confirmations, free night values you enter as your estimate, optional annual fee months and records of milestones already shown.
- Your trips, dates, destinations, optional trip style, booking status, planned benefits, hotel quotes you enter and saved hotel research.
- Your profile and preferences, such as your name, home airport, preferred airlines and hotels, reminder settings and optional travel style answers.
- An account identifier that connects these records to your sign-in, plus search limits and operational records needed to run the service.
What we never collect
Dibs never collects credit-card numbers or bank logins. There is no bank-account connection. Please do not put card numbers, passwords or other sensitive credentials in any text field.
Using Dibs without signing in
You can add cards, confirm benefits and plan trips without an account. Your browser saves this progress on this device so you can return to it. If browser storage is blocked, progress lasts only for the session. Nothing is added to an account until you confirm. Signing in opens your separate saved account.
Preferences on this device
Your browser remembers when you dismiss the welcome prompt so it does not reappear on every visit. This preference stays on this device and can be removed by clearing this site’s browser storage.
How your information is used
Dibs counts anonymous visits and actions by link source to see which posts help people. When you sign in, Dibs retains your link source with a pseudonymous account key. Deleting your account removes that association.
Your saved information powers benefit tracking, trip recommendations, price comparisons and reminders. Confirmed balances come from what you enter, not your bank statements. Calendar files are downloaded by you; they do not automatically sync with Dibs.
Sign-in, hosting and hotel discovery
Sign-in is handled by Clerk. Clerk processes your email address and any connected sign-in provider information to authenticate you. Dibs uses your Clerk account identifier to link your saved records. A name is received when available, and a profile name is stored when you save it.
The website uses OpenAI Sites hosting and its Cloudflare-backed database. These providers process data needed to operate the site and may retain security logs or backups under their own policies.
When you request new hotel research, Dibs sends the destination, country hint, relevant hotel-program names and any hotels to exclude to OpenAI for web research. This request does not include your name, account identifier, benefit balances or full trip record. Booking-site links take you to providers with their own privacy policies.
Delete your Dibs account data
Open Account & data, sign in, type DELETE and select “Delete my Dibs account data”. This removes your profile, selected cards, benefit usage and settings, captured value records, annual fee months, milestone records, trips, saved plans, comparisons and hotel research from Dibs’s active database. This action cannot be undone.
It does not delete your sign-in account, cancel bookings, reverse payments or remove calendar events you downloaded. Provider security logs and backups may remain under the provider’s retention policies. Close other Dibs tabs before deleting. Signing in and saving new information later starts a new Dibs record.
